Grizzlies win national honors

GGC Athletics continued its trend of excellence this year. In addition to the national honors described in the stories below, the women’s soccer team maintained its winning record, the softball team earned a conference championship, the men’s soccer team won its second consecutive conference championship, and the baseball team played in its second national championship tournament.

Men’s Tennis Cruises to Second Consecutive National Championship
The Georgia Gwinnett College men’s tennis team spent the entire regular season as the undisputed No. 1 team in the country, and the Grizzlies will end the season that way too as they beat Embry-Riddle 5-0 to win a second consecutive NAIA National Championship at Mobile Tennis Center on Sunday. For the second time in his career and the first time since founding the intercollegiate athletics program at Georgia Gwinnett College, Dr. Darin S.
